Both fun and scientific, there are plenty of family adventures to be had in this park that takes you back in time to the creation of the universe. Just an hour’s drive from your Les Grottes campsite<\/a> in Ari\u00e8ge<\/a>, the Xploria<\/strong> museum-park has a thousand prehistoric stories to tell.<\/p>

Xploria, the forest that explores time<\/h2>

Located in the heart of the Castagn\u00e8s<\/strong> forest, near the Mas-d’Azil cave, Xploria<\/strong> is a large<\/strong> 3-hectare forest adventure park<\/strong> where cool weather reigns in summer. The idea of the park’s creator-passionate coupleis “to learn while having fun, by following the evolution of life, from the creation of the universe to today and even tomorrow!<\/strong>” Paleontology enthusiasts of all ages are invited to visit this park, the only one of its kind in France.<\/strong> You’ll discover or understand theevolution of biodiversity on our planet Earth<\/strong>. It’s the ideal place tolearn, breathe and have fun<\/strong> at Mas-d’Azil<\/strong> in the Pyrenees<\/strong>.<\/p>

Xploria, plunge into the time of the dinosaurs<\/h2>

There’s no time for boredom for children and parents alike! From dinosaurs to giant prehistoric mammals, from the first plants to the most fragile species, life-size reconstructions of extinct animals<\/strong> will plunge you into the history of life on Earth. Touch-and-feel displays, paleontological dig workshops and giant illustrations<\/strong> will delight the little ones. While parents, grandparents, teachers and tourists will be seduced by the quality of the exhibits, the botanical areas and the climatological and geological landmarks. Twenty years ago, dinosaur fossils were discovered in the sandstone layers of the Mas-d’Azil<\/strong> forest .<\/strong> This exceptional deposit has become a major site for researchers. The Xploria project contributes to knowledge and understanding of the world around us, and promotes values of tolerance and respect for others and the environment<\/strong>. Ethnobotanist-anthropologist for one and artist-mediator of prehistory for the other, the creators of Xploria<\/strong> work to transmit their passion in this museum that offers you a journey through time and biodiversity.
