My holiday in the Pyrenees

Organising a holiday in the Pyrenees means being sure to discover some wonderful landscapes. A fabulous mountain range, it crosses two regions in France, Occitanie (Pyrénées-Orientales, Aude, Ariège, Haute-Garonne and Hautes-Pyrénées) and Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Pyrénées-Atlantiques). Between land and sea, in summer and winter, come and recharge your batteries in the Pyrenees!

The must-sees of the Pyrenees

From the Les Grottes campsite, discover the Pyrenees. A holiday destination full of contrasts. Start your visit with a remarkable panorama, the Cirque de Gavarnie. Without doubt one of the most impressive and magnificent places in the French Pyrenees. Located in the Pyrenees National Park, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Then play the explorer in the caves! Betharam, Niaux, Lombrive and many others welcome you in Ariège. Climb the mountains (Mont Canigou, the Col du Tourmalet...) and why not the mythical Pic du Midi (2876 m), accessible by cable car and known among other things for its astronomical observatory and television relay. Visit the Ossau valley in an incredible little tourist train. Perched at an altitude of 2,000m, the Artouste little train travels 10km on a narrow, authentic and historic railway line. It offers breathtaking views over the Soussouéou valley.

Hiking and Pyrenean landscapes!

From east to west, from Hendaye to Banyuls-sur-Mer, follow the famous GR®10 hiking trail. The Pyrenees mountain range has the particularity of offering a diversity of landscapes. It is both accessible with its lakes and mountains, and sensational with its waterfalls and caves... The GR®10 is a mythical path that passes right by your campsite. Did you know that 25% of the route is in the Ariège? Of all the Pyrenees, it is the Ariège that offers such a wide variety of scenery. Starting with the "green" as far as the eye can see! This luxuriant, preserved and almost unexplored nature offers itself to you from the pond of Araing, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Natural Park.

Summer and winter in the Pyrenees

Between sport and leisure, between relaxation and vitality... The Pyrenees make you dream. All this in a setting of greenery and unforgettable landscapes. In winter, 33 winter sports resorts welcome you and offer a range of frosty activities: yooner, biathlon, horse-drawn skiing, mountain biking on skis, diving under the ice, climbing frozen waterfalls, canyoning in warm waters... and of course the inevitable alpine skis, snowboards, mini-skis and skates. In summer, treat yourself to some thrilling rafting on the Gave de Pau or canyoning in the Aure valley. Paragliding is also a possibility. Unless you prefer to relax in the hot waters in the middle of nature or in one of the 19 thermal spas in the Pyrenees? Take a breath, you are in the Pyrenees.
